The holidays are coming, and so are the family photos. If you are thinking about Botox to look rested at December gatherings, the real question is timing. You work it out backwards, from your first party.
The Botox timeline, day by day
Botox works gradually. Allow at least two weeks between your appointment and the event:
- Day 1: slight redness at the injection points fades within hours. You get back to your day right away.
- Days 3 to 5: forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet start to soften.
- Days 10 to 14: the result is complete. This is the moment for photos.
The date to remember: December 10
For a Christmas Eve dinner on December 24, a treatment around December 10 gives you time to reach the full effect. If your office party falls earlier, around December 12, aim for late November. Booking early also gives you your pick of times.
First time: how the appointment works
Your appointment starts with a consultation with Dr. Hadi Krayem. He watches your expressions, chooses the areas and sets the number of units. The treatment itself takes 15 to 30 minutes.
An upper-face treatment usually takes 30 to 60 units. At $12 per unit, that is $360 to $720. Until November 27, the 60-unit Black Friday package is $479, and the units can be used in one visit or split across two.
The 48 hours after treatment
Keep your head upright and your hands off the treated area for 4 hours. Resume intense exercise the next day and saunas after 48 hours. Thinking about fillers for the holidays too? Mention it in consultation: Dr. Hadi plans both treatments so everything is ready in time.
A natural result, even up close
The goal is a rested face that moves naturally. Dr. Hadi doses each area to keep your expressions, the ones that make you recognisable in every family photo.
Prices, treated areas and common questions are on the Botox in Montréal page. The clinic is at 204 Notre-Dame Street West, in the heart of Old Montréal.
